BYD Celebrates 30 Years and 10 Millionth NEV Milestone
Electric vehicle manufacturer BYD (Build Your Dreams) has celebrated its 30th anniversary alongside reaching a historic milestone of producing its 10 millionth New Energy Vehicle (NEV) at its Xiaomo Production Base in the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone, China.
To commemorate these achievements, BYD organized a three-day carnival titled “BYD Powerplay” in Bangladesh. The event took place on November 21, 22, and 23 at BYD’s flagship showroom on Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Avenue, Tejgaon, Dhaka.
BYD's global journey highlights its dedication to sustainable mobility and its significant contributions to the automotive industry. The company is the world’s first car manufacturer to achieve the remarkable milestone of producing 10 million NEVs. This historic achievement underscores its commitment to technological innovation and environmentally-friendly transportation solutions.
The carnival, open to the public, offered visitors the chance to test-drive BYD vehicles and experience their cutting-edge features.
Speaking on the occasion, Imtiaz Nousher, Deputy General Manager and Head of Category Development and Marketing at BYD Bangladesh, stated, “We are delighted to host this joyful celebration to mark BYD’s 30-year journey and the production of our 10 millionth NEV. From a small startup of just 20 employees, BYD has transformed into a multinational corporation with over a million global employees. This milestone reflects our commitment to technological innovation and advancing the future of mobility.
